This week's challenge involves something I don't like: going to the doctor. The challenge is to create a personal prevention plan by getting regular check-ups and health screenings with recommended frequency.
Every person has their own set of health risks and concerns. As a result, you should talk with your doctor about the number of visits and screenings that are right for you. This includes deciding which immunizations are right for you. However, in addition to your primary care doctor, it's important to also keep up and schedule regular visits with your dentist, eye doctor, and, for women, gynecologist.
If you don't have a regular doctor or plan in place, this is the week to get it in gear. Going to the doc might be a pain the rear, but it's much better than going next to never and finding out you have something horrible and it's too late to fix it. So . . . just go.
